Hey guys! Now let me be the first to say I am an original backer of multitasking. You know that idea where you can be working on a million things at once and the belief that you get more done that way? Yes. I did actually believe that worked for a LONG time. Until more recently I have seen much evidence to the contrary–does working on many things simultaneously actually hinder your ability to complete tasks? I think my new answer is yes. If you can control your focus on one small task at a time, you actually get much more accomplished. Now once you start trying this, you might find that it’s more easily said than done. It can take some serious discipline to train your mind on one thing at a time, but in time, and with some help, it can be done and it can increase your productivity big time.
How can essential oils help with focus? Well, give me your undivided attention for a few minutes and I’ll give you the low down on 9 oils that can help you start focusing immediately!

Wow, just like that and summer is more than halfway over. Where does the time go these days? I feel like since January I’ve been moving non-stop with little time to slow down. Hence why I maybe haven’t been present on the blog so much. Have no fear friends because I’ve still been working on some amazing DIY’s that I can’t wait to share. If you’re close to my age (35), then you may know what I’m talking about or be able to relate a little bit better to this. (Also if we aren’t close in age that’s okay too because this DIY can be used by anyone for any reason!!). When I was in my early-to-mid teens having the thinnest eyebrows was so so popular. So I HAD to have them waxed like clockwork every 2-3 weeks. Couldn’t miss that appointment for anything. Well I’m paying for that now I assure you. Is anyone else with me on this?
Once I got into oils I figured there had got to be something to help stimulate the hair growth and help me grow them back in. I still get my brows cleaned up, but I keep them as full as I can because full and big brows are IN! Who would have thought 20 years ago that we would want our brows back? I sure didn’t, and I’m most definitely sad about it now. So what oil am I using I bet is the question?! Well, my friends, the answer is dōTERRA ‘s Rosemary EO! Before I bought any fancy bottles or anything I literally would just take some castor oil and Rosemary EO and mix in my hand and run right on my eyebrows after my evening routine. I wasn’t too fancy with measurements here as I was just messing around to see if this would help. I was using 1 drop of the EO, and 1 drop maybe 2 of the castor oil. I’ve been doing this just over two months and let me tell you I am finally getting somewhere with this regrowth.
I’m not sure how long it’s going to take but the fact that I can see a difference and see them actually bulking back up has made me so happy. I now have this mix in a dropper bottle. I do not have the mix 50/50 as that’s kind of what it seemed I was doing in my hand when I was mixing. It’s more of 1/4 EO and 3/4 Castor Oil. You can most definitely put more Rosemary in there if you’d like or you can snag some of the empty mascara tubes and make the mixture in there for very easy application. I wanted to go that road but because I’m using it every night I was going through it fast and making it more often than I wanted to. Whichever method works for you the mix is going to be great!

We’ve all had that moment. Maybe you’ve had this moment today, even. You roll over to look at the clock and it’s time to get up already and you’re like WHAT?! I’m exhausted! So you begrudgingly get up, but you absolutely can’t operate without coffee. I GET IT. I love coffee, too. But sometimes one cup of coffee can’t cure the sleepiness and when you go for 2, 3, 4 cups of coffee, then you’ve got a problem. You get jittery, hyper, extremely happy even…but then you crash. Hard. And you feel 10 times more tired and irritable than when you started. This is when, instead of grasping for that hollow energy that coffee might provide, you use oils instead. The truth of the matter is, oils are so versatile that you really can choose the scents you like the best and use those oils. People frequently comment on my mood and energy level and ask how I keep them both so high. In this article, I’ll explain the oils I use, how I use them, and why they work.
Distilled from the peels of the fruit, Lemon essential oil is as joyful as they come and is also cleansing and purifying. There are three main ways to use lemon to gain energy from its potent constituents–diffusing it, applying it to your skin or taking it for its internal benefits. If you are diffusing, I love diffusing Lemon in the morning when I first wake up. You can have this going in the kitchen in the morning while you’re making coffee or in the bathroom while you’re showering. If you apply to the skin, I’d recommend diluting it for skin sensitivity, as well as applying to an area of the skin that will be covered by clothing when you go outside–Lemon oil is photosensitive and can make your skin burn easier in sunlight. Once you’ve applied it to the skin, take a few deep breaths and just enjoy the uplifting scent–it will certainly help you wake up! If you are taking this internally, there’s a super simple way, and that’s adding it to a glass of water! I like to do this first thing in the morning with my vitamins–it’s just such a quick way to get those benefits and experience the internal benefits of Lemon–this oil has been shown to help cleanse the body and aid with digestion. Taking this oil internally will get your body working more efficiently and will in turn give you more energy! I wrote an entire post on the best uses for Lemon essential oil, which you can read about here. *Photosensitive. Do not put on skin that will be exposed to sun for at least the next 8 hours.
Called the Joyful Blend, Elevation is an incredible doTERRA blend that promotes feelings of confidence, uplifts your mood and increases your energy. My favorite thing to do with Elevation is diffuse it. Since it already has so many incredible oils in it, you can just pop 6 drops of it in the diffuser and you’re ready to run! Included in the Elevation blend are Lavender, Tangerine, Clary Sage, Hawaiian Sandalwood, Lemon Myrtle and other essential oils. I like diffusing this one first thing in the morning or during the day. A couple of other ways you can use Elevation are to rub it over your wrists, temples or heart to promote positive feelings, or put a few drops in your bath after a long day to relax.
When I first started using oils, Wild Orange quickly became one of my staples. Why? Because it smelled so refreshing, made me feel so happy and, at a wholesale cost of $10.50, it was easy to have it around all the time and share it with others, which also made me happy! Because this one has purifying and uplifting properties, it’s a one-two-punch for helping your body shake off any lethargy and feel energized. Try diffusing this one with peppermint for a really uplifting and clean smell, or try a couple drops in your ice water. It’s also a good one to put on first thing in the morning or mid-afternoon if your energy is starting to dip. *Photosensitive. Do not put on skin that will be exposed to sun for at least the next 8 hours.
These are some of the frequent sounds people have made after I’ve given them a drop of Peppermint to inhale: “Mmm,” “Ahhh,” and “Whoa!” doTERRA Peppermint is the most potent peppermint you will ever get your hands on and it will WAKE YOU UP. Try keeping this next to your bed and inhaling it when you first wake up in the morning. Doing this always makes me feel much sharper while I’m getting ready for the day. I think clearer after inhaling Peppermint. It really allows you to focus on the present moment and energizes you after lunch. Diffusing it with Wild Orange is PERFECT for feeling awakened. One last favorite trick to use peppermint for a refreshing boost is to take one drop of peppermint on your finger and place it on the roof of your mouth and then take a drink of water. Added bonus: fresh breath!
Motivate was designed specially for that purpose–to motivate those who use it. Motivate helps you feel more creative, more awake and more alive. This blend of essential oils that includes Peppermint, Clementine, Coriander, Rosemary and Vanilla, among other oils, gives you courage and makes you feel encouraged. The fresh combination of mint and citrus are hard not to love and feel inspired by. It’s wonderful for diffusing OR using on-the-go with the Motivate Touch roller blend. The Touch version is already diluted with fractionated coconut oil so it’s ready to go directly on your skin.
Ok, simply put Cheer smells like lemon cookies and is divine. It definitely does up my cheerfulness instantly when I put it on, which boosts my energy level as well. It helps promote feelings of optimism and counteracts negative emotion. Isn’t that cool?! With a spicy yet warm aroma, this one will make you happy, too. It combines lemon myrtle with vanilla, clove, nutmeg and some others to make this super uplifting blend. I never go anywhere without my Cheer Touch roll-on–this one is a staple for me and I wear it like a fragrance on my wrists and chest. I also tend to put it on my palms and take several deep breaths if I find myself having woken up on the wrong side of the bed or if sadness or anger sneaks up on me out of nowhere. Cheer really sets my mood right which definitely helps my energy stay high.
Are you starting to notice a trend here? Citrus oils are super uplifting to the mind and can really help your energy level! You can try using them all or pick a few that you love the smell of and go for it! Personally, I could never get enough Grapefruit. It’s like fresh air in a bottle. In fact, I wrote a blog about the many benefits of Grapefruit and you can read that here. Grapefruit is super cool because it can increase your metabolism! Anyone who’s felt the sluggish effects of a slow metabolism can attest to how tired it can make you feel. This one is a no-brainer for getting that metabolism going! Just put a few drops in your ice water and enjoy. Try two drops in your diffuser with 2 drops Douglas Fir and 2 drops Citrus Bliss and enjoy an invigorating Anthro blend (smells just like the store!). *Photosensitive. Do not put on skin that will be exposed to sun for at least the next 8 hours.
I looooove all things lime. Key lime pie maaaybe being at the top of that list but Lime essential oil coming in a very close second. You can’t not smell this and have your frown turn upside down. I diffuse it all the time. I smell it all the time. And it is just so energizing! My very favorite guilt-free treat is to put a few drops in my ice water and like…omg. So good. You could also make an easy limeade with this and it would be legit. It’s also super good in guacamole, just remember that a drop or two goes a long way! Lime is known for uplifting, balancing and energizing, and it also promotes internal cleansing, which can really help boost your energy. *Photosensitive. Do not put on kin that will be exposed to sun for at least the next 8 hours.
Ok, I might have saved the best for last. Citrus Bliss smells STRAIGHT UP like a Creamsicle. This is the MacDaddy of all Citrus. If you are a citrus fan, you cannot go another day without Citrus Bliss. In this one blend, you’ve got Wild Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Tangerine, Clementine and they finish it off with Vanilla. And for $15 wholesale, I am reeling at the value! Not only is this a great personal fragrance, but you can diffuse it in a room with the grumpiest of people and watch their mood lift almost instantly. You can really increase your levels of happy energy by using this one as often as possible–it helps that all the citrus oils make a powerful cleaner, so you can combine this with a splash of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle and clean your countertops with it! Really, the key to it working is using anytime you can think of a reason! And just dabbing it on your wrists and taking a few deep breaths is reason enough.

Lemon is the top-selling doTERRA essential oil–and for good reason! It has multiple benefits and uses. Lemon has powerful cleaning properties and can purify surfaces and the air, and can be used as a non-toxic cleaner throughout the home. When you add lemon to water, it provides a refreshing boost throughout the day. Lemon can be added to food to enhance its flavor. You can also take Lemon internally for cleansing and digestive benefits and to support healthy respiratory function. When diffused, Lemon is very uplifting and energizing and has been shown to help improve mood. At only $10 wholesale, it doesn’t get much cheaper than that for super high-quality wellness!
There are so many uses for lemon essential oil, it’s hard to know where to start, so I’ll just jump in!
Cleaning: I’d be remiss not to mention Lemon’s powerful cleaning and disinfecting properties. A little while back, Lauren posted about cleaning with essential oils and of course Lemon came up! Read about that here. Add Lemon oil to a spray bottle of water to clean tables, countertops, and other surfaces. More specifically, you can add about 20-40 drops of oil to a regular 16 oz. spray bottle along with 1/4 cup white vinegar and fill the rest with distilled water. Tada! A completely toxin-free all-purpose spray you could literally bathe your kids in (if you wanted to). 😀 This also adds a sheen and disinfectant to wood–try combining a few drops with olive oil to clean and protect wood surfaces–it’s especially good for cutting boards because the products are food-safe. It also works particularly well in keeping silver from tarnishing and works well on leather products, too.
Diffusing: Since this oil is just like the smell of fresh lemons, it’s perfect to diffuse on a day when you’re feeling in a funk or when your house smells like funk. Since it cleanses the air, it actually gets rid of the odor by eradicating the bacteria that’s causing it, rather than just masking the smell like commercial air fresheners. Lemon pairs well with doTERRA Breathe Respiratory blend, Frankincense, Geranium, Peppermint, Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang.
Taking Internally for Body Cleansing: Taking lemon essential oil is one of the most powerful cleansing and natural things you could do for your body, and it’s so easy to incorporate into your day! You can add this to your water, carbonated water, orange juice or even your coffee! I know it sounds crazy but it’s actually pretty good. :] Just make sure you’re using a glass, ceramic or stainless steel container to drink out of–lemon is so powerful it will pull the toxins straight out of plastic–just like it does with your body! I was out of it in the hospital once and added lemon essential oil to some tea I was drinking out of a styrofoam cup and watched as the lemon dissolved the styrofoam before my eyes! It was pretty crazy but just goes to show you how powerful it is.
Cleaning and Freshening Laundry: It’s super easy to throw a drop of this in the washing machine with your whites, especially towels and undies, and it will really help to freshen them up. I like to throw a couple drops in the dryer with lavender and my wool dryer balls. It’s not a strong scent you’re left with but the subtle freshness is honestly exactly what I’m looking for. The other thing you can do is make up a “laundry and fabric spritz” in a glass spray bottle with 10 drops lemon, 10 drops lavender and 10 drops wild orange and just spritz the towels in your linen closet once a week to keep things smelling fresh. This would also work nicely on couches, chairs, rugs and beds, just make sure if you have pets (especially cats) that you’re not spraying this where they like to hang out because they really hate citrus essential oils. Trust me on that one.
Improves Digestion: As far as how to take this internally for digestion, I would say as a first line of defense you should be drinking it in a glass of water every morning–a splash of raw apple cider vinegar wouldn’t hurt, either. However, if you are experiencing stomach upset, I’d try two things. The first thing I’d probably suggest is taking a bit of fractionated coconut oil and rubbing a few drops of that together on your abdomen. The other thing I might try, is if you have any empty veggie caps, you can put a few drops in the capsule and take it just like a supplement. If you need to get veggie caps, this is the best place to get them.
Purifies Skin: Ok I know this sounds crazy but I just put 1-2 drops of undiluted lemon essential oil straight onto my face after I’ve cleansed and moisturized and it has been doing amazing things for my skin! It feels 100% pH balanced when I do it. I hadn’t heard of people using it on their face, I just thought of doing it because I used to do this face mask with fresh lemons and honey and it worked really well with my skin, but it took a while to do and it was pretty messy (I’d always get the honey in my hair). I can’t promise this route will be the best for everyone, especially if you have sensitive skin, but give it a try if you’re gutsy. If you do it and it burns, wipe your face off with coconut oil immediately and that should help get off any excess. You should also make sure you’ve got at least 12 hours where you won’t be going out into the sun excessively when putting any citrus oil on exposed skin. Citrus oils are photo-sensitive and will cause your skin to burn more easily! Perfect to do on a Friday night when you’re planning on sleeping in on Saturday (i.e. NOT planning a pool day).
Soothes Sore Throat and Cough: This one really works and is easy to incorporate as well! Just add 1-3 drops to your hot tea with raw honey and you’ll definitely feel the soothing effects right away.
Improves Your Mood: It never fails, I just feel happy when I diffuse lemon! It’s not just ME, either. Lots of research has been done on how lemon essential oil works with our brain to release oxytocin. You can use it diluted on your skin, spritz it in your hair or on your clothes or try it on a diffuser bracelet or necklace. Keep lemon nearby and use it when moodiness or sadness strikes.
Eases Allergies: Seasonal allergies have really been getting me down lately. One combination that really helps is lemon, lavender and peppermint, one drop of each rubbed into the palm of my hands and inhaled deeply through the nose. Do this several times over and enjoy the soothing effects it has on your nasal passages and sinuses.

When you think of Rosemary essential oil, you may think of roasting a pork tenderloin or flavoring homemade potato soup. But it is oh so much more than that, my friends! What I’ll do today is walk you through the top ten best everyday uses for this common yet sometimes overlooked essential oil so you can take advantage of its incredible benefits.
#1: HAIR RE-GROWTH
Yes! Rosemary essential oil helps with hair re-growth, as consistent use stimulates hair follicles and helps hair grow stronger. Whether you are actively losing hair or you want to act preventatively, Rosemary essential oil can help keep your hair healthy. Add 1-2 drops into your hand with your shampoo, or add 10-15 drops per 8 oz. shampoo bottle and mix thoroughly.
#2: HEALTHY SCALP
I could have lumped this in with #1, but a healthy scalp means a lot to me, since I struggled with the waxy build-up (which acts like dandruff) for about 7 years before I discovered essential oils. This little tasty trick can help you trim some inches off in time for swimsuit season, too (in combination with a balanced diet and exercise, of course).
-Make an easy non-toxic all-purpose cleaner in a glass spray bottle with 1 1/2 cups white vinegar, 1/2 cup distilled water, and 16 drops of grapefruit essential oil.
–Make a sweet-smelling room spray in a glass spray bottle, combine 20 drops grapefruit essential oil, 20 drops lemon essential oil & 20 drops lime essential oil, then fill to top with distilled water and shake before use. Feel free to use liberally! Perfect for the bathroom, laundry room, or if you have kids or pets (or a husband), ANY room! ;]
-Add it to your spot treatment for blemishes by combining in a small glass dropper bottle with 3/4 distilled water, 8 drops grapefruit essential oil and 1 teaspoon raw apple cider vinegar. Apply sparingly to blemishes in the evening (and make sure to apply your regular SPF in the morning–excessive citrus oil can make skin sensitive when exposed to sunlight so don’t overdo it!).
-Make a yummy smoothie bowl with fresh mango, fresh kiwi, 1 cup frozen strawberry, 1 cup frozen pineapple, 1 cup cashew, almond, or coconut milk, 1 banana & 6 drops grapefruit essential oil. Blend on high until smooth (we liked using a Nutribullet for quick & easy cleanup), then top with chia seeds, shaved coconut and fresh mango. Enjoy!

I bet it’s no news to many of you that a natural way of living and creating a more natural lifestyle is becoming the popular thing to do. I’m just sitting here on a Sunday afternoon drinking some tea thinking about all the ways I can make changes in my household currently and even though I try to keep the products in our house “clean and free” of chemicals, I know I can do better. So now that I have your attention, I bet you are wondering how to clean with essential oils–and DOES IT WORK? Spoiler alert: Yes. Keep reading to find out how.
I’m sure you’ve noticed but I am not afraid of the DIY world whatsoever. If I can make it and it’s not a HUGE process, I’m down. I’ve completely cleaned up my beauty regime by making many of my own cleansers and toners. What’s the difference in household products? Really, there isn’t one. One thing I will say is that dōTERRA has an amazing line of household cleaning products in the OnGuard line, but there are also so many different essential oils that you can use to create your own cleaners as well. I’m sure this is where you will want me to list some these off, huh?
Let’s cut to the chase and get this popular EO out of the way first. I just didn’t have it in me to skip it. dōTERRA Lemon EO is not only effective at cleansing and purifying the air, but it’s extremely safe for you to breathe in. So while you’re cleaning your countertops, the lemon can also benefit you aromatically and create an uplifting environment. You can also mix dōTERRA Lemon EO with some olive oil to clean, protect, and shine your wood surfaces. These are just a few of the amazing benefits this powerful oil can offer you. Let’s move on to hand soaps. Don’t think for one minute that I wasn’t once OBSESSED with all of the hand soaps from Bath & Body Works. Trust me–it was an issue. I used to have a closet FULL of that stuff. Sometimes I still find myself wanting to stroll in there because I see all the glitter, bright lights, and BIG SALE signs. I have to say I haven’t made a purchase from Bath & Body Works in over a year. Did you know you can make your own hand soap? Now let me be a little more clear here: I don’t actually make my own liquid hand soap from scratch. I cheat a little by using some Dr. Bronner’s “Baby Unscented” pure castile liquid soap and put it in a glass soap container w/pump. From here your options are endless, and I truly mean ENDLESS! If you love a certain diffuser blend why not make it a hand soap? I know we all appreciate a good Serenity and Balance mixture. Why not make that into a soap? For the kitchen you could make Lemon, Tangerine, OnGuard, Peppermint, Cheer or Elevation. Don’t let me tell you how far you can go with all the different blends you can create! So to kind of cover some basics, I want to end this post with a DIY room spray. We have got to stop coating our households in chemicals. We just have to. A few scary reasons why are that in these chemical-filled sprays: there are hormone-disrupting ingredients, cancer-causing chemicals and many other ingredients that can affect your lungs, skin, and the balance of chemicals in your own body. Yikes! I always advise that you mix these oils in a glass spray bottle, but guess what else you need? Water! That’s it! Just some distilled water and the Essential Oil of choice. Again it can be ANY blend that you like, or if you want to use after cleaning or before some guests come over you should try dōTERRA Purify or Citrus Bliss. There really is no wrong or right answer when it comes to the scent you want for any of these products, as it can be tailored to you and what you like. Keep in mind that by doing this, you will be taking one step to being closer to keeping you and your family safe from all of the chemical-filled products we pay so much money for.

Well ladies and gents, I just got WAY too excited over this DIY Natural Nail Polish Remover I put together! Have you ever tried to take nail polish off without nail polish remover? It’s typically pretty impossible, right? Not anymore! Keep reading to find out the super simple 2-ingredient recipe below.
Now I’ll be honest, I’ve tried a few methods using the same doterra Lemongrass Essential Oil but tonight I hit the jackpot. So keep reading this and at the very end I’ll post the recipe! I’m not going to bore any of you with the different ways I’ve put this remover together, but what I can tell you is they all worked I just happened to like this the best.
So let’s back track a sec here. A few years ago I started following this UH-MAZINGGG Beauty Movement called Beauty Lies Truth. You can and should totally check out their blog as you may find some of your “clean” products aren’t so clean after all at www.beautyliestruth.com. Yikes, right? Well anyways, I started reading the labels on everything I owned and legit freaked out. Now, I was in no position to just throw away everything, but I had to start somewhere. So I started researching with the help of above said blog and figured out where I wanted to start first. I started with makeup and facial cleansers/lotions. Within a month I had gone completely clean with those items and couldn’t have been happier. Really makeup isn’t the focus here so we can always save that for another day.
So how can we take off layers of nail polish without chemicals, you ask? I’m honestly thrilled you did: The answer is doterra Lemongrass Essential Oil! Exciting right? I can’t be the only one who might be amazed by this answer. So what I did was take a small ceramic dish and dropped in 8 drops of the Lemongrass EO. I then added a couple splashes of Witch Hazel so I could soak my fingernails. I set my fingernails in this dish for 30 seconds. I then dipped the cotton ball into the same mixture and just started rubbing like I would with regular nail polish remover. You will be amazed at how effective this works. What did I do next? My other hand! I couldn’t believe how safe and easy this was. So you have polish on your toes as well? No worries–just take another cotton ball to the same mixture, let it soak some of the liquid up and do the same. Without the soaking you might have to work just a midge harder to remove it all but it really wasn’t all that serious.

DIY Nail Polish Remover
OMG everyone! HOW IS IT JULY?! Maybe I’m just having a little too much fun, and the summer is about to fly on by. In reality I had a crazy busy June, and I now feel like I’m truly enjoying summer. I even got out to the pool this past weekend which brings me to the awesome news I have for y’all! I’ve put together a DIY After the Sun Spray with some amazing dōTERRA oils and a few other simple ingredients. Exciting right? Keep reading for all the details.
So I’m going to assume, even though you shouldn’t EVER assume, that we can all get a little too much sun sometimes. Am I right? Well to give you the best idea of my skin if you don’t know me, it’s pretty fair. Even since moving from the North down South, I’m still pretty fair and get rosy-gold in the Summer. I am very into organic sunscreens made with little to no chemicals but we all know you can still get some unwanted sunburn. Once you have the sunburn, there’s no turning back or time to apply more sunscreen so we need to now worry about aftercare. First and foremost: STAY HYDRATED! That’s going to be key in the healing process, but next you’re going to want to apply something for the burn itself. Good thing you can use essential oils for sunburn! I can’t tell y’all enough how after using this spray I’d wished I’ve had this spray forever. I have extremely sensitive skin and sometimes there’s just no avoiding getting some extra sun sometimes. So why punish yourself when you can soothe and hydrate your skin with ingredients you have right at your fingertips?
The first dōTERRA oil I am going to talk about today isn’t going to be the most obvious but it’s important and is in my spray. It’s dōTERRA Basil Essential Oil. Basil itself acts as a cooling agent to the skin so I figured why not add this in there! ….and to clear it up yes Basil is mainly used in the culinary world but Basil has a rich history of medicinal uses! So I would say most definitely add this in!
The second oil I’m going to talk about for the DIY Spray is dōTERRA Lavender Essential Oil. Y’all probably saw this one coming a mile away as Lavender is a natural antiseptic so it has its own built in healing properties. How cool is that? To me this screams “YAY I don’t have to slather a cream or a lotion full of chemicals all over my already irritated skin”! Does anyone else feel that way? So for obvious reasons I have added Lavender EO to this as well.
Last but certainly not least I have added some of dōTERRA Peppermint Essential Oil. Did the thought cross my mind that maybe I’m making an intense cooling spray? It did but only for like 10 seconds. I really won’t get to into Peppermint EO here as really I generally use it for stomach upset or to cool me down when I have a migraine so I also thought this would be a good feature for my spray. Another reason I wanted to add Peppermint EO to the spray has everything to do with the fact that even if you are NOT sunburned and just want to cool off for the summer you can just give your skin a few spritzes and go about your day! You can’t ever apply too much and it’s safe and free of chemicals.
Now I realize that there are several other EO’s that would be good for being a natural antiseptic including Bergamot, Lemon, Clove, Myrrh, Thyme and many many more; just pick the one you have the best experience with or try Lavender! I find for skin irritation Lavender is what I have had the best luck with. If you differ from my recipe I would love if you share your experience. I am always up for trying new things or even adding to what I’m already including ingredient wise.
At the end of this post will be my full recipe. If the bottle you are using is larger than mine please just adjust your measurements accordingly. I love the 10ml spray bottles as they are easy to just toss in the bag I am carrying with me that day. I hope y’all enjoy making and using this spray.
